A few days back I lost my admin credentials to the Seq server on my development machine. Luckily, there is an easy way to reset those credentials and keep all your data.
Open a terminal window as an administrator and enter these 3 commands:

seq stop seq auth reset -u admin -p ADMINADMIN seq start |
This will stop Seq, reset the admin password to ADMINADMIN and start Seq again. If you now log in, you need to change the password immediately. Make sure that the new password is a secure one and that you enter it into your password manager without delay.
