How to Install Windows 11 Without an Internet Connection

A new installation of Windows 11, a new challenge to overcome. This time the installation started without a problem, but later on it could not find any internet connection. Neither the ethernet cable nor the wireless network worked because Windows did not install any drivers for the network adapters.

Should you run into this problem, you can solve it with these steps:

1. In the network part of the installer, hit **Shift + F10**
2. Click with the mouse in the now open terminal window
3. Type oobe\bypassnro and hit enter

The computer reboots immediately and for the next run, you get the option to install Windows 11 without an internet connection. In the remaining installation, you can create a local user that is not connected to a Microsoft account.

As soon as you fix the network connection problem, you can connect your local account to your Microsoft account – but everything works fine without that additional step.
